are big indexes of web documents. They can be accessed via web
browsers, and searched by keyword or keyword phrase/sequence.
A Keyword
is a word legitimately related to your website content by which people
browsing the Web can find your site. That is why keywords are vitally
important The
keywords below are very good to target your website to Search Engines. Put together your own list and add important words related to your site. Use a comma (,) and a space between the words. At the bottom of the page is a complete example. Keywords |

Once you have established the keywords
for which you should optimize your site for the search engines, it is
time to figure out how you can get a high ranking in the search engines
for those keywords. The solution is to create keyword
rich pages which provide good content and in which a particular keyword
is repeated a number of times so that the page gets a top ranking for
that keyword. We assume you have a working knowledge
of the different HTML tags like the Title tag, the Meta Description
tag, the Meta Keywords tag, the Heading tags, the Alt Tag etc. If you aren't so sure visit: http://www.builder.com/Authoring/Basics/ Targeting Keywords Now, let us assume that you are
targeting the keyword "kundalini tree of life". Here's how
you create the page: A.
The Title Tag: The first and most important tag
to consider is the Title tag. You should always begin the Title tag
with the keyword that you are targeting. Also remember that the search
engines are going to display the Title tag while they are displaying
the results of a search. Hence, you need to make the Title tag attractive
to humans as well. Here is a Title tag that we may
have used: "Kundalini Tree of Life is the primordial energy".
<TITLE>Kundalini
Tree of Life is the primordial energy</TITLE> Have a look at the Title tag - it
uses the keyword right at the beginning and also tells people that Kundalini
is the primordial energy. Of course, the Title need not be
like the one I used. B.
Meta Description Tag: The Meta Description
tag is used by many search engines to provide a short description of
the page that is listed in the search results. Hence, like the Title
tag, it is important that the Meta Description tag be keyword rich as
well as attractive to humans. The rules
for the Meta Description are more or less the same as those for the
Title tag. However, the content of this tag will generally be longer
than that of the Title. Here's what
we may have used in the Meta Description tag: "Kundalini
Tree of Life - discover the sacred spiritual energy within us. Kundalini
tree of life gives people self realization." <META
name="description" content="Kundalini
Tree of Life - discover the sacred spiritual energy within us. Kundalini
tree of life gives people self realization."> Note how this description repeats
the keyword and also the benefit. C.
Meta
Keywords Tag: Some Search Engines place great value on Meta Keyword Tags while other do not. It is important in Meta tags you
should include some of the common upper/lower case variations of the
keywords. The rules for the Meta Keywords tag are pretty simple - don't
repeat any keyword in the Meta Keywords tag more than three times and
don't repeat any keyword one after the other. Here's what we may have used in
the Meta Keywords tag: "Kundalini Tree of Life, self
realization, kundalini tree of life, Primordial Energy, KUNDALINI TREE
OF LIFE" <META
name="keywords" content="Kundalini
Tree of Life, self realization, kundalini tree of life, Primordial Energy,
KUNDALINI TREE OF LIFE"> Note how I have introduced "self
realization" and "Primordial Energy" just to separate
the different instances of the keyword. D.
Body of the page: The BODY area is where the text
on a page generally resides. <BODY>text
of the page</BODY> Begin by getting hold of a nice
(but not too large) picture of our Divine Mother. Place this picture
at the top of the page. In the Alt tag for the picture,
just mention your target keyword once, i.e. the Alt tag would be "Kundalini
Tree of Life". You can include other words in the Alt tag, but
it should start with the keyword you are targeting. <IMG
SRC="myimage.gif" ALT="Kundalini
Tree of Life"</a> Once you've put up the picture,
it is time to create a Heading for your page. Use the H1 tag to do so.
Again, in the H1 tag, mention your target keyword once, i.e. like the
Alt tag for the picture, the H1 tag could be "Kundalini Tree of
Life". Again, like the Alt tag, you can include other words in
the heading, but the heading should start with the keyword you are targeting. <H1>Kundalini
Tree of Life</H1> Now it's time to create the actual
text of the page. Use your keywords in your regular text. Keep the words
generally in a logical sentence. Don't repeat a word to much. The way
you create the text of your page would depend largely on what you want
the visitor to do after reading this page. In some cases, you may want
the visitor to go to the sahajayoga.org or another specific page in
your site after reading this page. In this case, you should write the
text in such a way that the visitor is attracted to the page that you
are targeting. You will want to provide links to
the SahajaYoga.org, the Country/City/University or Other (Arts, Music,
Yogies etc.) Sahaja Yoga Websites that you are targeting. <A HREF="http://www.sahajayoga.org">Your Link Text Here</A>
