Who is Shri Mataji?

Marriage came soon after, and the young Nirmala become ‘Mrs. Srivastava’, wife of a distinguished Indian civil servant, Chandrika Prasad Srivastava, and thus dedicated the next years to bringing up her two daughters and supporting her husband.

C. P. Srivastava held a number of important positions in India, not the least as Secretary to the Indian Prime Minister, Lal Bahadur Shastri.

His career culminated in a record-breaking 16-year tenure as Chairman of the United Nations International Maritime Organisation, for which he was recognised and rewarded with a Knighthood from the Queen of England, one of many prestigious awards from across the globe.

Since his retirement, Sir C. P. Srivastava has published a number of books and inaugurated a Maritime University, and now spends the better part of his time supporting Shri Mataji’s spiritual work.

Beginnings of Sahaja Yoga

Shri Mataji with BabyDuring this ‘householder’ period of her life, Shri Mataji had not in any way forgotten the aim closest to her heart, of emancipating human beings, and once her daughters were grown up, she prepared the beginnings of Sahaja Yoga. She had spent decades closely studying the inner evolutionary workings of men and women and in 1970, becoming increasingly concerned by an upswing in the activities of false prophets and bogus spiritualities, decided it was time to act.

… never before has en-masse self-realisation been possible and so easily achievable.

Sahaja Yoga was thus born and Shri Mataji, putting in all her time, effort and personal resources actualised, experimented and then put into action the Sahaja Yoga method of en-masse self-realisation – a truly unique method of spiritual emancipation, tailored to each modern man and women and his or her particularities. Never before has en-masse self-realisation been possible and so easily achievable.

Shri Mataji Travelling

Since 1970, Shri Mataji has tirelessly travelled the world, giving self-realisation across thousands of cites, spreading the message of love, truth and spiritual ascent. No group is too large or small, and she gives equal loving attention to a single individual met in her daily life, or to a stadium of 100,000 people, as occurs in some countries.

Her Unique Contribution to Humanity

… is to have brought spirituality back to the modern man and woman

Shri Mataji’s unique contribution to humanity is to have brought spirituality back to the modern man and woman, in words that are universally understood and through a living experience that is easily and instantly felt and appreciated.

Her method of Sahaja Yoga is freely accessible to all, regardless of age, education, culture or country and is invaluable in bringing together peoples form all walks of life (Discover Her Book: “Meta Modern Era”) . Bringing us back to relationships of respect and understanding, helping to rebuild our societies around lived values and innate goodness, through the inner transformation of men, women and children across the world.

For those lucky enough to have been in her hallowed presence: to see her giving personally adapted advice to hundreds of people individually in a single evening; to be amazed at her ability to speak to crowds with an original yet unrehearsed speech every night, night after night; to witness the wondrous emotive reactions of multitudes of people from all walks of life as they feel the beauty of the self-realisation experience granted to them; to have felt the rivers loving cool vibrations emanating from her person… for these reasons and so many more, Shri Mataji is indeed the greatest living saint of our times.

Don’t miss the opportunity of experiencing the very reason for Shri Mataji’s advent… It is all she has wanted in this life – that you ask for, and then receive your very own inner transformation. That you too realise that you are part and parcel of the whole, and through your transformation, yet another piece will be added to the puzzle of humanity, and the world and its people will finally become a beautiful expression of all that is good; united and safe within the bounds of her Intelligence of Love.

This has been promised to mankind throughout the ages, and now she is here to deliver it.
