At Your Lotus Feet

Our Beloved Mother,

When we come before You,
we find our hands empty to offer,
yet full of the cool breeze of Your love.

You have given us Moksha,
the greatest of gifts,
the light within our Spirit,
the path that leads us home,
and the freedom to become one with the Truth.

FROM STRESS TO STRENGTH: A SAHAJA YOGA WORKSHOP ON INNER HEALTH

image7.jpg

We had an amazing workshop as part of our weekly beginner classes, which happen every Thursday in Hamilton, on how Sahaja Yoga can support the immune system. We started by explaining the subtle system, how the energy channels and chakras are interconnected, and how even a slight imbalance ripples through the whole system. And then watched a talk by Shri Mataji, who explained it so simply and beautifully that we all thought, “Ah, that actually makes sense.” From there, the discussion moved to the connection between mind, body and emotions. The message was clear: stress, overthinking, and emotional ups and downs don’t just stay in the head; they affect the whole subtle system, including our immune system. And concluded that Sahaja Yoga meditation helps us settle inward, calms the nervous system and brings everything back into balance. Then we had a hands-on workshop, always the favourite part. Seekers learned how to clear the chakras through hand rotations and affirmations, supported by simple practices such as daily meditation, foot soaking, and self-balancing techniques that are easy to take home and use. By the end of the session, the room felt noticeably lighter, calm, clear, and refreshed in that quiet way only Shri Mataji can bring. And this is just the beginning, we’re looking forward to continuing these weekly sessions and welcoming more seekers into this experience of balance, clarity, and inner peace.

FROM LIBRARY TO OCEAN: SURREY’S GROWING MEDITATION COMMUNITY

image26.jpg

And come summer, things get a lot more exciting; these foot soak sessions move to the ocean, which is such a refreshing experience.

The convenient location makes it easy to recommend the class to seekers who use public transit. While the exact room may vary, it's usually found on the 4th floor near the city hall.

Surrey Centre, BC

📍 Surrey Centre Library,

        10350 University Dr

🕖 Every Thursday, 7:00 pm

The weekly class at the Surrey City Centre SkyTrain station has been running steadily for over two years now and has quietly become a local gem. We have over ten regular attendees, many of whom have now moved to the intermediate aspects of meditation.

Once a month, we have an online foot soak session, quietly opening the door to deeper techniques that aren’t always possible in the library setting, such as candling.

These classes are held at the library, where the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and we often end with tea and cookies.

BRINGING SELF-REALIZATION EVENTS TO THE WORKPLACE

In February this year, I saw a photo in one of our collective WhatsApp groups showing a Self-realization event held at our dear yogini Reenu Punia’s workplace, Cliantha Research in Mississauga.

Aunty Denyse Robillard and Aunty Kathy Majkut facilitated the event, and approximately 70 people received their Self-realization.

Seeing that photo inspired me to organize a Self-realization event at my workplace, CGI in downtown Toronto.

Aunty Denyse kindly shared all the details on how to connect with the Health & Wellness team in our office and explained everything to consider when organizing an event in a corporate setting.

She explained that Self-realization events in a workplace environment are quite different from those held for the public. For example, instead of using Shri Mataji's photograph, we would use a specific photograph of Her Sahasrara. Additionally, the language used in a workplace setting needs to be different.

It was such an incredible experience to host the event at our office. Both Aunty Denyse and Uncle Vassili graciously hosted the program, and approximately 20 people received their Self-realization.

If you would like to learn more about organizing a corporate Self-realization event, please feel free to contact

AUNTY DENYSE AT ROBILLARDD108@GMAIL.COM  OR  UNCLE VASSILI AT VASSILI1008@YAHOO.CA.

An interesting fact: Uncle Vassili and Aunty Mar’yanna Svarnyk started in-person weekly corporate lunchtime meditation sessions over 10 years ago at Manulife's headquarters in Toronto.

Since COVID, the format has shifted to weekly online sessions offered to their employees across Canada and the US, with 20 to 30 participants each week. Normally, corporate programs are one-session or a few-session offering. Participants are informed of in-person class locations and online classes, should they wish to continue.

Resources for Seekers

MEDITATION MADE SIMPLE:
A WORKBOOK FOR YOUR DAILY PRACTICE

Two years ago, Julie Mandal and Gita Pattison had a wonderful idea to help new seekers create their own Sahaja Yoga meditation routine. And so, the Meditation Workbook was born.

This workbook is made especially for new seekers; it’s packed with down-to-earth guidance, personal insights, and easy tracking tools, offering a friendly, practical way to build a meditation routine that actually fits.

Since reading alone doesn’t always work, Julie and Gita took it a step further by launching a YouTube channel with step-by-step videos that walk you through key exercises and help you form daily habits.

Whether you’re brand new to Sahaja Yoga or already know your way around, this workbook (and its videos) can be a surprisingly helpful companion.

SAHAJA YOGA INTERVIEW ON RADIO 101.3 FM

rakhee dee.jpg

We are delighted to share that Sahaja Yoga was recently featured on Radio 101.3 FM through a special interview with our dear yogini, Rakhee Khatri. She explained the uniqueness of Sahaja Yoga, how it differs from other forms of meditation, and how the Kundalini energy rises from the sacrum bone and connects us to the all-pervading Divine energy. She also spoke about the inner peace, physical health benefits, and mental well-being we gain through Sahaja Yoga. She explained how meditation helps us become balanced and stay in the present moment, rather than dwelling on the past or worrying about the future. And the interviewer was quite surprised to learn that Sahaja Yoga is offered completely free of charge. We hope this interview reached many seekers and inspired them to discover the joy and benefits of Sahaja Yoga.

EID BAZAAR, MISSISSAUGA

We had an incredible Self-realization event at Eid Bazaar in Mississauga, Ontario, during the Victoria Day long weekend in May.

This was a beautiful opportunity to bring people from different communities and faiths to experience our Divine Mother’s love and discover inner peace. Luckily, the Sahaja Yoga booth was at the side entrance, and it caught the attention of several seekers. We are so fortunate to give Self-realization on the center stage for all three days, along with some of the yogis singing beautiful bhajans while playing instruments. We even had music with Qawalis. This touched many hearts and helped seekers feel the collective's vibrations and peace. Many Sahaja Yogis came together to support the program with great dedication and collective spirit, explaining the importance of Sahaja Yoga and providing information about beginner classes and their timings in the Greater Toronto Area. Many youngsters and children were very keen and excited to learn about Sahaja Yoga and received their Self-realization. Several participants shared feelings of joy, calmness, and a sense of collective oneness after meditation. An interesting fact is that several Sahaja Yoga pujas were held at the same venue in the past.

Collective Highlights

CHILDREN’S INVOLVEMENT IN SAHAJA YOGA

Do you know that children in Sahaja Yoga have tremendous potential?

Calgary Collective has been encouraging children to take on leadership roles, and we can see how brilliant and humble they are during the collective meditations, pujas, and all the sahaj events.

Seekers were really impressed by our children's confidence at the National Women’s Show in Calgary. We could see the joy and enthusiasm in their eyes as they watched our children confidently explain Sahaja Yoga.

Let us all fulfill the vision of our beloved Mother Shri Mataji. The children are the future of Sahaja Yoga, and they will do tremendous work.
